Almost daily, Mrs. Petty and I are met with a few students who have read books at home and are bringing us a certificate stating how many books have been read to date.
It is a great opportunity for us to talk with them about what they have read, their favourite story, and the next story they want to read.
It gives me a chance to congratulate them on their enthusiasm for reading and remind them that reading is an invaluable life long skill.
